The Man Who Stole Banksy

The Man Who Stole Banksy

The man who stole Banksy is the new film by Marco Proserpio, voiced by Iggy Pop, out in the USA since April.

The soundtrack is co-signed by our author Victor Kwality, Federico Dragogna and Matteo Pansana, and is distributed by CAM, a Sugarmusic Group company.

The film is about the Palestinian view on an art form that is typically Western, and on the message that Street Art delivers on the wall separating Israel from the West Bank: set ten years ago, it narrates the intervention by Banksy and his team inside the occupied territories, where the group marks with their own sign the Palestinians’ houses and walls. But the movie is also the story of the rise of a parallel market, as illegal as spectacular.

The documentary, directed by Marco Prosepio, mixes traditional Middle Eastern sounds with electronic and dub music, to underline once more the culture clash evoked thorough the film.
