Marianne Mirage and the making of “The Place”
While playing the first chords, Marianne Mirage tells us how The Place was born, the soundtrack to the latest film by Paolo Genovese. The piece is written together with the Stag by Marco Guazzone and Matteo Curallo: an all-Sugar artistic synergy, a whole “Tailor Made” project.
The Place is a mixture of dreamlike and bizarre atmospheres, born almost by chance from an on-stage improvisation during a live performance, and then brought to the perfection of a completed form thanks to the collaboration with the other artists.
And speaking of Stag and fate: Marianne tells an incredible story about life’s coincidences. Which is, after all, made of «extremely surreal» episodes… and «one must know it as soon as possible».
